Problem
The existing Volkswagen e-shop lacked a clear structure and logical product organization. It featured 13 unsorted product categories, making it difficult for users to navigate. The website looked outdated, lacked usability, and had no cohesive information architecture. Additionally, the Zubehörkonfigurator, which allowed users to purchase car-related accessories, was a separate platform, adding complexity to the shopping journey. My task was to address these challenges while working within existing system constraints, maintaining a consistent design across brands, and delivering within a limited timeframe.
Challenges & Constrains
Research & analysis
The project had to be completed within 6-7 weeks, requiring careful prioritization of key features.
Information architecture
The existing system’s limitations (e.g., inability to display product variations under a single listing) influenced the design, but I proposed future improvements.
Selected screens
As the websites are not live yet and due to confidentiality agreements, I can only share a selection of screens from this project
